Timing Is Right
Right now is a good time for M&A.  After a few years of people being in a survival mode and valuations being unreasonably low, now, like Spring, energy is returning – let’s not hope too much!

It’s time to get active.  If you’re a seller, you can be the first “out-there” with your offering and avoid the “rush” when Boomer owners decide to all get out – at the same time, likely.

As buyers, prices are lower now than they will be in the future and most firms are still in a “hunkering down” mode so you’ll have fewer competitors.  The competition will be intense in the future, however.  Effectively, everyone is a buyer of retirement assets and plans now – with more to come.

Our advice – make either acquisitions or selling a serious business priority and program.  In the “good old days” people could just casually let their friends know they were for sale and buyers could wait to stumble across and opportunity.  The good old days are gone.

We operate as business brokers which include the following services:

  • Marketing – We independently and confidentiality represent your business to potential buyers and partners.  You can market your firm without having ti known by employees, clients, competitors or predatory buyers.
  • Due Diligence and Qualification of Buyers – Before you meet any buyer, or the buyer knows of your opportunity, we “audit” the strengths and weaknesses of the buyer’s capabilities and the seriousness and “fit” of their interest.
  • Introductions and Negotiations Management – We initiate contact and act as “go-between” between parties, as needed.  As an independent third party, we are often able to speed negotiations and help uncover critical issues.
  • Transaction Closing – We provide support and resources as needed.

For Buyers

We act as buyer’s agents to identify appropriate opportunities for acquisition.  Our services include:

  • Presentation Development – The buyer’s market is hyper-competitive and getting more so as more acquirers enter the retirement market.
  • Marketing – Acting as your independent agent we identify and approach likely seller candidates that fit your ideal acquisition target profile.
