Will Marketers Learn from the Uber Correct Political Data Predictors? Probably Not

The election results were known by many statistical analysts, many of them amateurs.  Some academics.  It is really pretty simple.  No, numbers do NOT lie.

Now, will marketers learn some of these simple lessons?  I bet not.  Not because the math and science approach debunks pretty much every current marketing strategy, theory and practice.  

What’s more important protecting our irrational beliefs or the facts?  NO contest.  The status quo, inertia and ideological beliefs always win.
